Between the red mountain range of Cape Range National Park and the Ningaloo Marine Park lies a dry, treeless coastal plain. The night on the shores of Kurrajong was not a lonely one. This was evidenced by the mysterious patterns that had appeared on the beach sand, which I suspect were left by hermit crabs. A beautiful pattern, shimmering in the sunlight, had emerged on the Australian beach.
