Isokari Boat Huts

starting at €90.00

Isokari, a familiar name from the weather forecast for seafarers, "Merisää," is located in the outer archipelago of Uusikaupunki and is part of the Bothnian Sea National Park. In addition to rocky shores, lush groves, dry meadows, and salt puddles, the island also holds memories of times past, its inhabitants, and their livelihoods. Well-ventilated boathouses and net sheds still stand quietly, awaiting summer and the start of the open-water season.

HOME SHORES – Pictures from the Finnish coast

My oldest, everlasting love is the sea that laps against the shores of my homeland. I have been photographing it ever since I was a child, spending my summers in the Iniö archipelago. I have accumulated photos spanning several decades. I have also published two books on the subject: *Kuohu – Hooked on the Archipelago* and *The Sea That Washes My Feet*. Please contact me for more information about them. In this series, I have compiled some of the most memorable shots from my home shores over the years.
