The reed beds have turned golden, and the colors of the wet rocks stand out beautifully. This photo was included as a large print in a photo exhibition that I toured around our coastal and archipelago communities in 2006–2007.

HOME SHORES – Pictures from the Finnish coast

My oldest, everlasting love is the sea that laps against the shores of my homeland. I’ve been photographing it ever since I was a child, spending my summers in the Iniö archipelago. I have accumulated photos spanning several decades. I have also published two books on the subject: *Kuohu – Hooked on the Archipelago* and *The Sea That Washes My Feet*.
