Far out at sea, the water is clear, and you can see the seabed from a depth of several meters. The rippling mirror of the sea reflects the boathouse, bathing in the warmth of the low sun. The waves create works of art, each one unique. The rocks and shells on the seabed seem to dance with the waves, sweeping me along with them into the archipelago summer.

HOME SHORES – Pictures from the Finnish coast

My oldest, everlasting love is the sea that laps against the shores of my homeland. I have been photographing it ever since I was a child, spending my summers in the Iniö archipelago. I have accumulated photos spanning several decades. I have also published two books on the subject: *Kuohu – Hooked on the Archipelago* and *The Sea That Washes My Feet*.
