This "bull's horn" or simply bull, Oksen, is a famous mountain range on the island of Senja in Norway. The range is also known as Devil's Jaw or Devil's Teeth, but there is no historical basis for the names. The highest of the mountains, Store Okshornet, is 559 meters high, and there is a hole in the third one, with is a tragic story behind it: The neighboring mountain Kjølvamannen did not want to give up his courtship of Torskenkjærringa, so he shot his rival with an arrow, which slipped into the third, completely unrelated peak. Okshornet can be seen so impressively from the Senja viewing route at Tungeneset.

When you're stranded on the shore, it feels like the sea separates you. But when you step into the water, the sea connects you. The idea that the waves washing my feet on my home beach can take me around the world is enchanting. From my home pier, I can reach the Atlantic, the Arctic Ocean, the Mediterranean, and the tiny islands of the Pacific. Although hiking in the mountains is wonderful, it is only by the sea that I finally feel at peace. It is strange how the sea feels so familiar even on the opposite shore. The seas are woven from the same foam and salt spray.
