Animals hardened by the high-altitude climate, such as the Andean mountain cat, the culpeo, and the vicuña, thrive in this dry and cool environment. Thunder rumbles above the golden-yellow mountains, and I wonder if one of the many volcanoes is about to erupt. Dark thunderclouds complete the impressive landscape.
