Trees and shrubs belonging to the Nothofagus, also known as the southern beeches family, grow naturally only in the southern hemisphere, including Patagonia in South America, Tasmania in Australia, and New Zealand. Although the flora is different from ours Tierra del Fuego National Park bears a striking resemblance to Lapland in terms of both its flora and landscape.
