When the sea level is low, as it often is in spring and early summer, the strands left dry turn white, like those of an old man. The tresses of algae create beautifully embroidered tapestries along the shore.

HOME SHORES – Pictures from the Finnish coast

My oldest, everlasting love is the sea that laps against the shores of my homeland. I have been photographing it ever since I was a child, spending my summers in the Iniö archipelago.
