Fog Buoys

starting at €90.00

The coolness of autumn rests like a thick fog over the water. The shores of the northern Baltic Sea are already waiting for the winter ice, and one mooring buoy after another is left without a boat. Only the hardiest seabirds still dive in the harbor. Peace and quiet take over, occasionally interrupted by storms. Boaters feel wistful. Spring seems far away.

HOME SHORES – Pictures from the Finnish coast

My oldest, eternal love is the sea that laps at the shores of my homeland. I have been photographing it since I was a child, spending my summers in the Iniö archipelago. I have accumulated photos from several decades. I have also published two books about it: Kuohu – koukussa saaristoon (The Surge – Hooked on the Archipelago) and Meri, joka jalkojani huuhtelee (The Sea That Rinses My Feet). You can inquire about them by the Contact us page. In this set of images, I have compiled some of the most memorable shots from my home shores over the years.
